The European insurance community, from the back to the front office, are re-examining ways in which to increase yield from investment allocations, reduce cost and maximise efficiencies to drive increased profitability from the asset management division. Aided by evolving technology and greater comfort with non-core fixed income assets, insurers approach to insurance asset management is growing in confidence opening new investment opportunities and facing fresh challenges.

The sixth annual Insurance Asset Management, Europe report, following on from the third annual Insurance Asset Management Summit on the 15th November, brings together leading market authorities, economists and think tanks with heads of investment strategy, investment operations and risk from leading European insurers. The report examines the economic and market hurdles facing asset allocators in their quest for outperformance and brings to the forefront of the discussion topics such as navigating private markets, developing portfolio risk modelling and understanding the impact on insurers investments from the coming separation of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
