New rules proposed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore on the 23rd March, will instruct fund managers seeking to gather assets in the country to set-up local operations in the fund domicile. Such rules indicate the growing confidence Asia-Pacific based regulators have to enforce local operations and the potential business windfalls for fund administrators, technology and data providers in Singapore, Hong Kong and other main APAC financial centres.

To track these changes, the second annual Fund Technology, Data & Administrator Operations, APAC report brought together 8 Asia-Pacific based fund and asset management groups, to explore the challenges faced by buy-side firms as they ramp up technology, data and administrative operations in the region.
