Over the next five years, the alternative investments sector is set to see explosive growth with alternative assets under management, consisting of private capital and hedge funds likely to reach a staggering $14 trillion by 2023. Niche strategies, including synthetic hedge funds, real estate, insurance linked securities and other non-traditional asset classes, are expected to benefit from increasing investor interest the most during this fundamental rise.

The fourth annual Investing in Alternatives, Europe 2019 report brings together heads of investment from European based pension plans, insurers, endowment funds, foundation and private banking and wealth groups to explore the increasing interest shown in alternative asset classes and investment strategies and examine the hurdles as well as opportunities to maximise returns from alternative investments whilst minimising risks exposed to.
